admitted claiming he was kid
naped and writing a ransom
note to his own parents.
Sixteen-y e a r-old Harold B.
Adcock arrived in Portland by
train Monday night and took a
hotel room.
While at the hotel the youth
penned a ransom note to his par
ents. Mr. and Mrs. C. B. Adcock.
He demanded $2000 and warned
that "your boy will be killed" if
authorities were notified.
The parents turned the note
over to police. Young Adcock
was picked up at a bus terminal
as a runaway at 4:45 a.m. yes
