Church Remodeling
Nearing Completion
Mondav night men of the
church will meet in the annex
of the First Church of the Naza
rene to complete the hanging of
a curtition folding door, dividing
the fireplace room into two Sun
day school departmental assem
bly rooms for youth departments
of the church.
A new Senior High School de
partment is being organized to
occupy the fireplace room,
marking space for the growing
Junior High department.
This will complete the final
phase of a $10,000 remodeling
and repair project planned for
the fall and winter months.
The local Nazarene church has
for some years had the largest
church school in the Oregon Pa
cific district. In addition to en
larging its own quarters to ac
commodate more people, the lo
cal church is also sponsoring a
new church in Medford to be
known as the Mt. Pitt Ave.
Church of the Nazarene. It is
located two blocks off Stewart
ave. at the corner of Mt. Pitt
and Chestnut. When completed,
within the next few weeks, the
new church building will have
a value of $40,000 and will be
the first,., of three units to be
built. Opening day for the new
church will be set for some time
duringoLent.
