Parties Precede
Holiday Wedding,-
Parents Entertain
Central Point A number of
parties preceded the wedding of
Miss Doreen Bohnert and Don
ald Bradshaw, held December 27
at First Christian church.
Mrs. L. C. Lisenbee was host
ess for a dessert luncheon and
shower December 18. During
the afternoon, the guests wrote
favorite recipes for the recipe
file of the bride-elect:'

day, December 21, for the 8
o'clock evening wedding of Miss
Patsy Ann Booth and James
Dean Armstrong. The Rev. R. H.
Mathewson officiated at the
double ring ceremony attended
by 200 friends and relatives.
The bride is a daughter of Mr.
and Mrs. Don G. Booth, 910
Grant avenue, Medford. The
bridegroom is a son of Mr. and
Mrs. James F. Armstrong, Glenn
way, Central Point.
The bride, given in marriage
by her father, wore a white lace
and tulle floor length dress
made by her mother. It was fash
ioned with fitted bodice, long
sleeves and full skirt. Her veil
was held by a headband of flow
ers cut from lace and also made
by her mother. She wore two
strands of pearls and for some
thing borrowed, her mother's
diamond earrings. She carried a
white orchid encircled by white
carnations on a white Bible.
Miss Pauline Booth was maid
of honor for her sister and Miss
Naomi Burham was bridesmaid.
Carv,! Booth, another sister of
the bride, and Doris Felkener
were candlelighters. All wore
ballerina length dresses of red
taffeta styled with fitted bodice
and trimmed with seed pearis.
The maid of honor and brides
maid carried heart shaped bou
quets of white carnations tied
with red ribbon.
Flowergirl was three-year-old
Billie Sue Felkener, who was
dressed as a miniature bride.
Ring bearer was Perry Rasmus
sen. Donald Hayes, cousin of the
bride, served as best man.' Perry
and Roily Armstrong, brothers
of the bridegroom, seated the
guests.

and Ross Baker and Phillip Fel
kener were soloists. The church
was decorated by Mrs. J. A. Bar
rett, grandmother of the bride.
Following the ceremony a re
ception was held in the church
annex of the First Church of the
Nazarene. The bride's table was
decorated with a small Christmas
tree made of pine cones and red
berries.
Mrs. R. L. Janzer. aunt of the
bride, cut the wedding cake and
Mr. Janzer served the punch.
Assisting were Miss Karen Haas,
Doris Felkener. ' Carol Booth,
and Steven and Gregory Lub
bers. Miss Nancy Haas was in
charge of the guest book.
For her daughter's wedding
Mrs. Booth chose a grey suit
worn with white gardenia cor
sage. Mrs. Armstrong wore a
blue and white dress with white
carnation corsage.
For her traveling attire the
bride wore a light brown suit
with the white orchid from her
bridal bouquet. The newlywed
couple are making their home
at 503',i South Oakdale street
after a wedding trip to Yreka,
Calif.
The bride is a graduate of
Medford High school and is em
ployed by the Credit Bureau of
Medford. The bridegroom at
tended Crater High school and is
employed by Crater Lake Motors
in Medford.
Past Noble Grands
To Hold Installation
Mrs. Dollie Love will be in
stalled as president of the Past
Noble Grands' club at the meet
ing Thursday, January 10, at
8 p.m. at the home of Mrs. E. D.
Scripter, 727 West Fourth street.
Refreshments will be served
by Mrs. Frank Chapman and
her committee.

Mrs. Robert Fisher and Miss
Linda Malloroy were hostesses
for a surprise shower honoring
Miss Bohnert. It was given at
the Fisher home on Biddle road
December 20. Miss Bohnert ar
rived at the Fishers expecting
to help her bridesmaids make
the hats they were to wear for
her wedding, but found the
house looking festive with
Christmas decorations and filled
with guests.
Among those invited were
Mrs. Edyth Jones, Mrs. Wilfred
Davies, Mrs. Ed Meyers, Mrs.
E. A. Malloroy, Mrs. Wallace
Ragsdale, Mrs. Ray Ragsdale,
Mrs. Earle Jossy, Mrs. Chan
Stokes, Mrs. Stanford Dew and
Mrs. John Bohnert.
Also the Misses Joanne and
Carol vonder Hellen, Sharon
and Marlena Coffman, Beverly
Beck, Lucy and Diana Gardener,
Marjo and Nyla Murray, Karen
Jossy, Jo Anna Malloroy and
Judy Bradshaw.
As Miss Bohnert opened her
gifts, her comments were writ
ten down, unobtrusively, by
Mrs. Stokes. Later these were
read to the group and then pre
sented to the bride-elect for her
memory book.
Refreshments were served.
Following the wedding rehear
sal, a buffet supper was held at
the home of the bride's parents
for members of the wedding
party and out-of-town guests.
Assisting with the supper were
Mrs. Jossy, Mrs. Malloroy, Mrs.
Wallace Ragsdale. Mrs. Stokes,
Mrs. Williams and Mrs. Lisen-bee.

Gold Hill, were married Sunday,
December 23 at 3 o'clock in the
afternoon at the home of Mr.
and Mrs. Knox McCullum in
Seattle, Wash. A small recep
tion was held at the McCullums
following the wedding.
Mr. and Mrs. Bishop will live
at Miller's Gulch.

Travelers To Take
South Sea Cruise
A number of travelers from
Medford will be on the S. S.
Monterey when the ship sails
i January 8 from San Francisco
I for her maiden voyage to the
South Sea islands, New Zealand
and Australia. Included in the -group

terey returns.

Miss Ruth Ann Pedersen be
came the bride of William
Mathewson Vandever in a cere
mony held on the afternoon of
December 28 at the home of the
bride's parents, Mr. and Mrs.
James G. Pedersen Jr., 78 Perry
dale avenue, Medford. The Rev.
John O. Reynolds of First Pres
byterian church officiated.
Given in marriage by her
father, the bride wore a pale
yellow ballerina length dress of
frosted organdie and carried a
bouquet of yellow rosebuds. The
bridesmaid, Miss Bonnie Graves,
Medford, wore a bouffant ma
roon gown.
Bill Pedersen, brother of the
bride, arrived Sunday from St.
Paul, Minn., to serve as best
man. Another brother, Jim, was
home from Oregon State college.
Guests included the grandpar
ents of the bride, Mr. and Mrs.
J. G. Pedersen of Medford.
A reception was followed by
dinner at the Medford hotel
Candle room for the bridai party.
The bride is a senior in the
College of XJharmacy at the Uni
versity of Washington and a
member of Rho Chi, pharmaceu
tical honorary society. She is
a 1953 graduate of Medford High
school.
The bridegroom is the son of
Mrs. Florence M. Vandever,
Coatesville, Petin., and Charles
R. Vandever Sr. of West Chester,
Penn. He is also a student at the
University : of Washington and
is working towards a degree in
the speech department.
The couple will resume their
studies after a honeymoon trip
to British Columbia. They will
live a short distance from the
campus at 4548V& Eighth street,
North East, Seattle.

Rites in Spring
Mr. and Mrs. W. G. Jamieson.
of Medford announce the en
gagement of their daughter. Miss
Betty Jamieson to Ted Tenney,
son of Mr. and Mrs. E. T. fTen
ney, 633 Iowa street, Ashland.
The wedding is planned for
March.
Miss Jamieson was graduated
from Medford Senior High school
in 1956 and is now attending
Southern Oregon college. Mr.
Tenney, a graduate of Ashland
High school, is a junior at the
college. Miss Jamieson is a
member of the college rally
squad. Her fiance plays football
and basketball for SOC and is
a member of the student council.

Travelers Return From
Mr. and Mrs. Harry Prentice
have returned to Medford after
spending the past few weeks in
Mexico City. The couple travel
ed by bus. arriving at Mexico
City before Christmas at the
time of the Guadalupe festival.
The Prentices attended per
formances at the theater and of
Mexican opera, and were pleas
ed to be present for the first full
scale accordion concert ever giv
en in that city. Mrs. Prentice
Trip South
taught accordion hert for many
years. They also attended bull
fights and other entertainment
events.
Later the travelers wert in
Guadalajara, Mazatlan, Acapul
co, Vera Cruz and other Mexi
can resorts.
While in Mexico City they
were guests in the home of Capt.
R. Vargas, a personal aide to
the president of Mexico and also
a narcotics agent for the government.
