moved ahead 19-7 with a little
less than two minutes to play
in the third period after Gordy
Young smashed over for the In

passed to Carl Isaacs for their
first conversion of the day.
But then the fired up club,
which has turned from Pacific
Coast conference doormat into
a hot contender since Prothro
checked in two years ago, went
to work with a vengeance and
driving them all the time was

limit of four to a person. About
1200 reserve seats will be up
for general sale. The price for
tickets in the reserve grand
stand for the play-off will be
$2 each.

Final spot in the Oregon State
Class A-l high school football
play-offs has been decided with
Gresham's 26-6 whacking of
Parkrose Friday night.
The victory gave the Gophers
the District 3 and the Metro
politan league title with a 7-0
record.
Gresham now meets Medford
of District 6 in a first-round play
off contest.
Other Class A-l pairings,
which were decided last week,
are Benson, District 1 at Mc-
Minnville, District 4; Marshfield
District 5 at Lincoln of Portland,
District 2, and Pendleton, Dis
trict 7 at Albany, District 8.
Reedsport Gains Spot
In Class A-2 playoff, Reeds
port and Seaside gained play-off
berths. Reedsport downed
Myrtle Point, 13-7 Friday night
to win the District 2 and Coast
league titles. Seaside took the
District 1 crown with a 39-19
win over Wy'east.
Seaside plays at Reedsport in
the opening round of the play
offs and Amity (District 3) faces
Central of Monmouth, District
4.
Two Class A-2 play-off spots
were determined Saturday when
Lakeview and Vale clashed for
the District 7 title and Eagle
Point beat Glide 20 to 0 for the
District 6 crown.
Silverton Meets Winner
Winner of the Lakeview-Vale
contest will play Silverton in the
play-offs and Eagle Point will
face Pleasant Hill.
