Ashland Incumbent Mayor
Richard Neill was reelected here
Tuesday with 2,832 unofficial
votes. He was unopposed.
Candidates elected to the three
city council positions were Ewald
(Walt) Bosshard, receiving 2,308
unofficial votes: Glenn M. Revel,
2.149; and Lcroy C. Ostrander,
1.950.
Other candidate were Ralph
i Koozer, 1.429: and Harry R.
Morns, 1.576. They were both in
! cumbents.
Incumbent City Recorder W.
E.' Bartlctt and incumbent Treas
urer Paul L. Finnell, both unop
j posed, wre reelected. Bartlett
i received 2,855 votes and Fin
nell received 2.933.

Incumbent Archie Fries, who

votes. He was unopposed.
Mrs. Nelle. Burns, Ashland dis
trict justice of the peace for a
number of years, was reelected
by a slim margin yesterday. Her
opponent was L. Peers Wilmeth,
former city judge in Ashland.
The unofficial count in the dis
trict was. for Mrs. Burns 4,936;
for Wilmeth, 4,898.

Jackson County
Jackson county gave strong
support to Judge William II. Mc
Allister of the state supreme
court in his write-in bid for
election to the position he now
holds by appointment.
With 10 precincts still missing.
McAllister received 8.586 write
in votes, compared to 649 for
Circuit Judge David Vcnden
berg of Klamath Falls, and 17
for Peter Welch of Multnomah
county.
Judge McAllister practiced
law in Medford for many years
until his appointment to the
high court several months ago.
