Simplified Tax Law

shows that businessmen and oth
er taxpayers in Oregon hope the
legislature will enact a simpli
fied tax law, a committee report
said today.
Sidney Bazett of-prants Pass,
head of the association's tax
committee, said that greater con
formity with federal income reg
ulations would have a two-fold
effect. He said it would reduce
book work that confronts the
taxpayer and would bring about
a possible reduction in taxes by
saving administrative costs.
Bazett said the recommenda
tions have been presented to the
Legislative Interim Tax Committee.
