city council, it was reported this
morning by Chairman' Jack Fitz

The- fees which -individual
property owners would pay un
der each of four proposed meth
ods of assessments, and on a
fifth, -which combines two of the
others and which the committee
has decided is the most fair, are
shown on a chart which is avail
able for inspection at the recep
tion desk in the city hall, Fitz
gerald said. i
The- committee chairman said
the four proposals were (1) as
sessment on a square, foot basis
of each piece of property; (2) a
flat connection fee, the same for
all pieces of property; (3) assess
ment on a front-foot basis, and
(4) assessment on the basis of

Two Local Girls Admit
Shoplifting Yesterday
Two Medford girls, ages 14
and 13, were taken into custody
by Medford police yesterday for
shoplifting from three down
town Medford stores Thursday.
City police said the girls ad
mitted the thefts. The girls were
released to the custody of their
parents and the case referred to
the Jackson county juvenile of
fice, police said.
Police said the girls stole two
dresses valued at $9.98 each,
and several blouses, necklaces,
slips, and bottles of perfume.
