Coon Favors Joint
Work on Farm Plan

Coon (R-Ore.) said yesterday that
the Eisenhower farm 'program
was an effort on two fronts to
solve a national problem that
should not be considered from
the standpoint of political gain
by either party.
Coon told the John Day Ki
wanis club at its luncheon today
that the administration is. pro
viding for the immediate relief
of troubled farmers while at the
same time adopting measures for
the "long haul."
"The arm problem has been
with us since after the last
war," Coon said. "It has not
been confined to one party. I
think the Republicans and Dem
ocrats should work together for
a permanent solution, not one
designed to attract the largest
number of farm votes." ' '

Mosquitoes Breeding In Seepage Areas
