said today he had been asked to
conduct lie detector tests for a
state policeman and a Portland
city policeman "'who gave con
flicting testimony before the i
grand jury. " i
Schrunk said, however, that
the testimony involved only ad-1
ministrative matters and "little j
to do" with the jury's primary !
work of investigating Portland's
underworld.
Schrunk did not disclose re
sults of the lie detector test to
which he submitted himself. He
had agreed earlier to take the

Millikin will have served 15
years in the Senate.
