Annual Camp Out

door camp out last weekend at
Camp Umpqua near Milo, Ore.
The youngsters range from 10
to 15 years of age. They were
given training in camp cookery,
shelter preparations, and special
instructions on birds and flow

and rosebuds was served by Mrs.
Del Berg. Presiding at the punch
bowls were Mrs. Lon Skinner
and Mrs. William Barnum Jr. In
charge of the guest book was
Mrs. Donald Lue.
For her traveling attire the
bride wore a while sheath dress
with picture hat and black and
white accessories. After a
month's vacation the couple will
be at home in Eugene.
The bride attended Arcadia
High School in California and
Southern Oregon college. The
bridegroom is a graduate of Med
ford High School and is attend
ing the University of Oregon.

The bride wore an ice blue
brocaded nylon guwn with white
accessories. She carried a bridal
bouquet of pink and white car
nations. The wedding took place on
the lawn of the Pech home in
front of a bower of climbing ros
es and other flowers.
The bride was given in mar
riage by her father. Best man
was Arthur G. Pech. brother of
the bridegroom, and maid of hon
or was Miss Joyce Cowden, sis
ter of the bride.
A reception at the home fol
lowed with the cake served by
Miss Carla Ragsdale, cousin of
the bride. Miss Shirley Petti
grew presided at the punch bowl.
Miss Sandra Straus, Eagle Point,
had charge of the bride's book.
For the occasion, the bride's
mother wore a salmon pink lin
en suit with white accessories
and a gardenia corsage. The
bridegroom's mother was dress
ed in a navy blue linen suit with
black accessories and a garden

The bridegroom was born in
Medford and attended Lake
Creek and Eagle Point schools.
He served with the Army for
two years and is now employed

From Canada To
Visit Her Sister
Mrs. Ida Bertram. Fort St.
John, B.C. was a house guest at
the home of Mr. and Mrs. Arthur
C. Hall, Route 1, Ashland, for
the past several days.
Mrs. Hall and Mrs. Bertram
are sisters and had not seen each
other for 29 years. While in the
valley. Mrs. Bertram also visited
her brother-in-law and sister-in-law,
Mr. and Mrs. Henry Bert
ram. 911 West Eleventh street,
and her niece and family. Mr.
and Mrs. Edward Ford. 904 West
Tenth street.
Ehe left Friday for a week's
visit with her brother and fam
ily in Tucson. Ariz., and will re
turn for a few more days' stay
in Ashland before continuing to
her home in British Columbia.
ART MEETING PLANNED
The Southern Oregon Society
of Artists are planning a pro
gram Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. in
building 218 at Camp White.
Featured at the program will be
Eugene Bonnet, artist of the
Rogue Valley area. Visitors are
welcome.

Masonic bodies will be held at
Jackson Hot Springs on high

29 beginning at 1 p.m., accord

their families and guests are in
vited. Free swimming games for
children as well as softball and
horseshoes will be provided.
