It is pointed out that many

street.
This past year 24 freshmen
were given scholarships from
the club, these ranging from
9100 to $300.

cluded are Mrs. Frink, Mrs.

Play Opens
Tonight
"Good Housekeeping", Foot
lighters 3-act comedy by Wil
liam McCleery, opens tonight
at the Fairgrounds theater for
a five-night run. Curtain time
is 8:30 o'clock each evening, and
director Rudy Vest ' reminds
theater goers that performances
the first two or three nights
should prove as entertaining as
on the final nights of the show,
when very often the theater is
filled to capacity. The theater
seats 160, and Director Vest ex
pects attendance to be good,
since this is the first Footlighter
production in more than a year.
"Good Housekeeping," the
story of a normal American
family capable of achieving hap
piness despite the pressures of
modern existence, is alive with
good dialogue and funny situa
tions, he states. The play, first
produced in the East several
years ago, and starring Helen
Hayes, broke box office records
on the "straw hat" circuit.
Four Medford Senior . High
school students, Misses Sue
Boardman, Nancy Adams, Dana
Ragsdale, and Linda Durkee,
participate in one of the funniest
scenes in the play, when they
appear as cheer leaders.

Buchter in the roles of the par
ents; Shirley Buckingham and
Elizabeth Betschart as their
daughters; Clyde Wheaton and
