District School Board of School Dist
rict No. 100 of Jackson County, Ore-

.00 o'clock p.m. on the 14th day of
May. 1956. at the Howard School
Building at 2801 Merriman Road. Med
ford, Jackson County. Oregon, which
aid bids will thereafter be publicly
opened by the said School Board, for
the purchase, at not less than par and
accrued interest, of the following
described negotiable general obliga
tion coupon bonds of said school dist
rict, in the principal amount of Sixty
thousand Dollars ($60,000.00) dated
May 14, 1956, in denominations of One
Thousand Dollars S( 1,000.00) each, and
maturing serially in numerical order
as follows:
S3.000.00 on the 15th day of July,
1957 and $3,000.00 on the 15th
davs of January and July there
after until the issue is completely
matured.
The bonds will bear interest pay
able semi-annually on the 15th days
of July and January at such rate or
rates in multiples of one-fourth of
one percent, not exceeding five per
cent (5) per annum, as shall be spe
cified by the successful bidder. Both
the principal of and the interest upon
the bonds will be paid at the office
of the County Treasurer of Jackson
County. Oregon.
The bonds will be sold to the high
est bidder, but the district school
board reserves the right to reject any
or all bids. Unless all bids are re
jected, the bonds will be awarded to
the bidder complying with the terms
of the notice of sale and submitting
the bid which provides the lowest
cost to the school district.
Each bid must be unconditional,
must be accompanied by a certified
check or cashier's check in favor of
the district, of or upon a bank doing
business in the State of Oregon, in
the sum of $1,200.00. and must be
enclosed in a sealed envelope ad
dressed to the undersigned and
marked on the outside "Proposal for
Bonds." No interest will be allowed
c the deposit with the bid, but the
cAeck ot khe successful bidder will be
retained as part payment of the
bonds or to secure the school district
against any loss resulting from failure
of the bidder to comply with the
terms of his bid.
Each bidder shall include In his bid
a statement of the total interest cost
to the district if his bid be accepted.
