Bend Dogs Remain
In Pound for Food
Bend 'CU.R) Twelve dogs had
a chance for freedom here this
week, but all but three pre
ferred to stay behind for the
food, little knowing that they
might be approaching their last
meal.
The lock to the city's dog
pound became undone, but only
three of the dogs took off.
When Robert Cook, city dog
warden, reached the pound, he
found nine of the dogs waiting
near the building. They all fol
lowed Cook into the pound for
breakfast.
Cook pointed out that dogs
not reclaimed following adver
tisement are killed.
