day after alleging:

from the Moorish fighters" yet
he passed out after drinking one
gin sling.
2. He practiced scales on the
grand piano at 6 in the morning.
3. Whenever he saw the word
"wife" in magazines and news
papers he struck it out and sub
stituted the word "strumpet" or
'concubine."
4. He wore khaki shorts and
tied the house keys to his belt
"as if to show that he was the
master."

clinic," in Salem Friday, April
6, Don McNeil, manager of the
Chamber, has announced.

Frank Van Dyke, chairman of
the local Chamber's legislative
committee, which has been
studying taxation on various
governmental levels, said the
conference will include an au
thoritative presentation of the

situation.

Five Children Die
In Farm Home Fire
Casselman, Ont. (U.R) Five
children ranging in age from two
months to five years were killed
Wednesday night when fire razed
their farm home in this commun
ity 35 miles southeast of Ottawa.
A sixth child and the mother
were in a nearby barn when the
fire broke out and were unhurt.
The victims were the children
of Mr. and Mrs. Alcide Quesnol.
They were Helen, 5, Jean-Guy, 4,
Claude, 2, and 2-months old
twinsTrancois and Francoise.
Quesnol, 24, works in a general
store at St. Isidore. The house
was gutted and the children were
dead when he arrived home..
Ontario provincial police said
they did not know how the fire
started.
The 22-year-old mother told
police she was in a barn with
her sixth child, three-year-old
Gerald, when the fire started.
She smelled smoke and heard
the crackle of flames too late to
save the children in the frame
house.
