that Shakespeare's plays were
written by someone else.
The American is Calvin Hoff
man of New York who hopes
to open a 17th century tomb to
seek proof of his theory that
Shakespeare's works were, writ
ten by Christopher Marlowe.
But legal sources said he faced
a $28 fine or perhaps a jail sen
tence if he carried out his plan.

after both wars. It makes one
stop and think of the virtues of
