Hill has filed an application for the
approval or a change in point oi diver
sion of water from Evans Creek.
The supplemental findings of fact
and order of determination of the
State Engineer entered January 10
1940 in the matter of the determina
tion of the relative rights of the var
ious claimants to the use of the waters
of Rogue River and its tributaries, de
termined the extent to which the in
choate water rights were completed in

ceedings. In said findings the State
Engineer found that Bud Oden had
reclaimed and irrigated a 2 acre tract
in the northeast part of Lot 11 within
the NEHSWtt. Sec. 15. T. 35 S.. K,
4 W.. W.M.. and Paul S. Seeley had re
claimed and irrigated 17.9 acres in Lot
11, of which 6.5 acres are in the NE',i
SWV and 11.4 acres are in NWii
SWVi. All of these lands are irrigated
thu the Vroman ditch from Evans
Creek with a date of priority of 1902
The point of diversion of the Vroman
ditch is located 1200 ft. N. and 100 ft.
W. from the E',4 corner of Sec. 11,
and being within SE NE, said Sec

Northwest Parks
Portland (U.R) More than
2,500,000 persons visited Pacif
ic Northwest parks during the
fiscal year 1955, a parks survey
showed today.
Neal A. Butterfield, chief of
the Columbia river recreation
survey branch,- said Mt. Rainier
led the region's national parks
with 825,906 visitors.
Crater lake reported 371,370
visitors.
Construction for the fiscal
year centered on the Heart O'
Hills road in Olympic National
park, where two tunnels, two
viaducts, two miles of rough
grading and two camp grounds
were completed.
The report stated that most of
the area's revenues of $166,949
came from Crater Lake, Mt.
Rainier and Craters of the
Moon.
Land acquired during 1955 in
cluded 1,096 acres of scattered
tracts in the Olympic National
park. Some 59 acres were also
added to the Fort Vancouver
National monument.
Woodland Owners
Aided by Program
Salem (U.R) Income to
woodland owners throughout
Oregon during ' the last six
months of 1955 approached
$900,000, as a result of assistance
given through the farm forestry
program, Charles H. Ladd, sen
ior farm forester, said today.
Ladd. said assistance was ex
tended to 413 woodland owners
during the period which involv
ed 18,401 acres of timberlands.
Products harvested included
20,797,999 board feet of timber,
1910 cords of wood, 14,500 pieces
of posts and piling.
In addition there was an in
come of $45,577 from the sale
of Christmas ' trees, cascara
bark, floral products and crude
drugs.

Three Hurt in Wreck
Near Mount Shasta

Three persons are in critical
condition at Mt. Shasta Com
munity hospital here today as
result of a two-car collision Sun
day on the Adram Lake road
between Mt. Shasta and Weed.
The California highway patrol
identified the injured as Clar
ence Sheldon, 50, his wife, Anna,
51, and Patricia Russell, 16, all
of Mt. Shasta. The hospital list
ed their conditions as critical.
Police said the accident occur
red about 12:10 a.m. yesterday
as a car driven by Richard No-
land Toreson, 17, Mt. Shasta,
attempted to make a left turn
off the highway in front of the
Sheldon car. The Russell girl
was a passenger in the Toreson
car.
Toreson and another passeng
er, Aldo Mineni of Mt. Shasta
were uninjured.
