An increase in income of dis
trict court from $78,634.25 in
1954 to $94,765.95 in 1955 was
noted in the annual report of
the court.
The total includes 3,032 crim
inal-cases with fines totaling
$77,171.25; 1,159 civil cases; and
164 small claim cases.
Court costs totaled $13,435;
civil fees, 53,955.70; and small
claim fees, $164. All fees o to
the county treasurer, excepting
those specifically designated to
the state treasurer.
September was the busiest
month, with $11,347 income, and
December the smallest with
$4,784.
Some 494 overloads made up
the largest criminal citations,
followed by failure to stop at
stop sign, 361; nfl operator's li
cense, 164; drunk on public high
way, 104; overwidth, 102; de
fective muffler, 96; truck speed
ing and defective lights, 72; and
no motor vehicle license, 67.
Remaining citations were
mostly for various traffic, fish
ing and hunting violations, bad
check charges, and disorderly
conduct.
Man Collapses On
Sidewalk In Medford
Robert Bruce Wallace, 43,
who collapsed on the sidewalk
at East Main st. and Central
ave., at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, was
reported in fair condition at
Community hospital yesterday.
Wallace was treated for shock
by city police and taken to the
hospital by Medford Ambulance
service where he was held for
observation.

Parson's Herd Tops
December DHIA List
The five top dairy herds in
Jackson county during Decem
ber were announced yesterday
by the Jackson County Dairy
Herd improvement association.
The 33-cow herd of J. E. Par
sons topped the list with an
average of 797 pounds of milk
for the month, with 44.6 per
cent average butterfat. Next
were F. L. and Blanche Wyant,
29 cows, 74'9 pounds average
with 42.6 butterfat; Pete Auer,
30 cows, 783 pounds, 40.8 but
terfat; P. K. Nelson, 28 cows,
657 pounds, 37.6 butterfat; and
Richard Westerberg, 47 cows,
646 pounds, and 36.3 per cent
butterfat.
Gilman's dairy farm was own
er of the top two cows, with
2,353 and 2,641 pounds of milk
and 98.8 and 98.7 per cent but
terfat, respectively. Others in
the top ten are owned by Minear
brothers, Westerberg, R. R. Bit
terling, J. E. Parsons and Gil
