Pillow To Ike Brings 'Thanks'. From Msmie
Des Moines, la. (U.Pi Leslie
C. Myers received a "thank
you" letter from Mrs Eisen
hower for sending President
Eisenhower a special pillow he
devised for persons confined to
bed.
Myers, who suffered a heart
attack in 1950, designed the
horseshoe-shaped head rest with
several pillows during his ill
ness. It eased the stiffness in
his neck, and the ends, extend
ing down the upper half of his
body, gave him arm rents to re
lieve elbow soreness.
The note from Mra. Eisen
hower said:
"Your gift has been one of
the most welcome he has re
ceived, because it has afforded
him so much pleasure and relaxation."
