Mr. and Mrs. Michael Beck ob
served their 40th wedding anni
versary Sunday, November 27
at open house at their home on
Forest creek.
Friends and relatives called
between the hours of 1 and 5
p.m., and a buffet lunch was
served.
Mrs. Beck is the former Miss
Edith Payton aitti the couple
was married November 27, 1915
at Tacoma, Wash. Mr. Beck came
to this country from Germany in
1910 at the age of 16.
For the open house Mrs. Beck
wore a rose and black silk dress
and her corsage was a cymbid-
ium orchid.
Bronze colored chrysanthe
mums and ivy decorated the
rooms. ,

Ir. and Mrs. Fred Beck, Mr. and
Mrs. James E. Farrar and Mr,
and Mrs. Gerald W. Note, chil

mother, Mrs. Robert Hart

Hartley is a student at Oregon

League to Loan
Film on Foods; -Group
to Elect
"It's All in Knowing How," is
the title of a film produced by
the American Dairy association
which has been purchased by
the local chapter of the Milk
Producers league so that i will
be available for showing in
county schools.
The 13-minute film points up
to teenage children that they
should apply their knowledge of
food as it relates to their health
and well-being.
A discussion of the film was
made at a meeting of the aux
iliary to. the league when they
met Tuesday noon at the Jack
son hotel. The picture recently
was shown at a meeting of the
Crater High school Parent
Teacher association, and was
shown during the week to stud
ents at. the school.
Letters have been mailed to
school officials announcing the
availability of the film and res
ervations should be made by
contacting the league.
The December meeting has
been postponed and instead will
be held January 3 at the home
of Mrs. Victor Birdseye. Elec
tions will be conducted during
the evening meeting.
Mrs. Lewis Clark provided a
prize for the recent meeting
which was won by Mrs. Morris
Davies.

Miss Wilma Sharp Bride
Of Perry Allen Skeeters
Camp White Miss Wilma Pearl Sharp, daughter of Mr. and
Mrs. Marvin G. Sharp, 116 Ajax street, Camp White, and Perry
Allen Skeeters were married November 24 in 11 o'clock morning
rites. The ceremony was held at the home of the Rev. and Mrs.
D. E. Millard near Eagle Point.
The bridegroom is a son of
Mrs. William H. Stinson, Horn
brook, Calif., and Everett A.
Skeeters, Brownsboro.
About 40 guests attended the
wedding which was performed
by the Rev. Mr. Millard. He
and Mrs. Millard furnished the
songs and music.
The bride wore a floor-length
gown of white satin, net and
nylon. Her fingertip veil was
held by a headpiece of orange
blossoms, and her bouquet was
of gardenias and white daisies.
Mr. Sharp gave his daughter in
marriage.
Mrs. Charles S. Coon, an aunt
of the brjde, was the honor at
tendant, Miss Diane Skeeters, a
sister of the bridegroom, was
bridesmaid and Mrs. Clyde Bar
low, his cousin, was a brides
matron. Sandra Coon, a cousin
of the bride, was flower girl.
The honor attendant . wore a
rose colored net gown over taf
feta designed with bolero and
she carried a nosegay of white
daisies. The bridesmaid's gown
was of light green taffeta and
net, ballerina length and Mrs.
Barlow wore an aqua blue bal
lerina length gown of taffeta
and net with bolero. All had
nosegays of white daisies with
net and ribbon to match their
gowns.
The flower girl's gown of
aqua blue taffeta was floor
length.
Delbert Valentino Sharp, a
brother of the bride, was best
man.
The bride was graduated in
1953 from Eugene high school
and came to this vicinity with
her parents, several months ago.
The bridegroom was born at
Talent and . was graduated in
1946 from Prospect High school.
He served for four years in the
Navy as a diesel mechanic. He
was stationed in Japan and Ko
rea and returned recently from
the service.
A reception was held at the
home of the bride's parents. Af
ter the bride and bridegroom
made the traditional first slice
of wedding cake serving was
continued by Mrs. Sharp, and
Mrs. Stinson, ' mothers of the
couple. The punch was served
by Mr. Sharp and in charge of
the bride's book, was Mrs.
George Folck.
The bride's mother wore a
navy blue dress with navy blue
and white accessories. Mrs. Stin
son was dressed in turquoise
blue jersey with black accesso
ries and both had corsages of
pink and white carnations.
From out of town were Mr.
and Mrs. Garret Sharp, Crescent
City, Calif., aunt and uncle of
the bride.

was elected president of the
Rogue Valley Area council of
Girl Scouts at a meeting Novem
ber 28. Mrs. T. R. Lytle, Mrs.
George Ice, and Mrs. R. W. Gray,
all of Medford, were elected
first, second and third vice-presidents,
respectively.
Mrs. Ben ,Spaulding, Grants
Pass, is the new secretary, and
Mrs. Kenneth Denman, Medford,
treasurer.
Elected to the board are Mrs.

Walter Garner and Mrs. Charles

film to be shown Monday, De
cember 5 at 8 p.m., for a meet
ing of the Griffin Creek school
club in the cafeteria.
The picture shows an oil re
finery, a hurricane and some
scenes of Queen Elizabeth's cor
onation. A business meeting will pre
cede the film.
A book is given each month
to the class room which is rep
