BUILDING Modern design, three story, steel frame, rein
forced concrete construction with aluminum windows, fire
proof, two elevators. The design contemplates additions for
future needs. Building will face south on Barnett Road. -
HOSPITAL FACILITIES-78 beds: surgical 24, medical 24, ped
iatric 10, maternity 20, and bassinets 22. There will be 1
emergency operating room, 2 major surgeries, 2 minor
surgeries (equipped for specialized and oral surgery), 4 labor
rooms, 2 delivery rooms, physiotherapy department and
chaplin's room for use of patients, relatives and friends (open
for the use of all religious denominations). Also there will be
the best facilities in laboratory, x-ray department, and steriliz
ers. Oxygen will be piped to all patients' rooms and other
necessary centers. In addition there will be many other fa
cilities for the treatment, comfort and safety of patients.
SITE-Medford-20 acres north of Barnett Road and west of
Murphy Lane, south of Rogue Valley Country Club. The site
is large enough to provide ample parking space and permit
future expansion of the hospital.
CONTROL AND MANAGEMENT-The control is in the Board
of Directors of Rogue Valley Memorial Hospital which present
ly operates the Community Hospital on East Main Street,
Medford. This Board consists of 20 public-spirited Members
who serve without compensation.
The hospital is a non-profit charitable corporation. All of its
properties and earnings are devoted to the humanitarian pur
pose of serving the community.

FINANCIAL PLAN-(non-profit, corporation)-The hospital will
be financed by voluntary contributions which are deductible
from income tax. No stocks or bonds to be sold.
MEMBERSHIP Any person, organization or corporation con
tributing $100 or more becomes a Member and will have one
vote in the election of directors and in corporation business.
No person, organization or corporation can obtain control by
buying memberships or obtaining proxies to accumulate votes.
Members will never be liable for any debts or assessments.
There will be no annual membership dues or fees.
Associate Members are those who subscribe less than $100.
They may attend all meetings and have all the rights of mem
bers except voting. They may, at any future date, add to their
subscription a sufficient amount to become a voting member.
LIFE OF THE HOSPITAL-It is perpetual; its doors will never
close. Being community-owned, controlled and non-profit, it
must be used for the benefit of the public. -
FINANCIAL CAMPAIGN-A large organization of men-volunteer
workers-will solicit subscriptions to make this hospital
possible. The names of those who act as workers and the
names of those who subscribe Any Amount of Money will
be placed on metal plaques in the lobby of the hospital in
Order That Present and Future Generations May Know the
People Who Made the Hospital Possible.
If each person, firm or corporation gives to the best of his or
. its ability, and men who are in a position to do so, work in this
great humanitarian cause, there will be no doubt about raising
sufficient funds to build this hospital for the additional pro
tection of the lives and health of the community.
NO HIGH PRESSURE-Volunteer workers will not use "high
pressure" methods. There will be no payroll deductions.
A NEW PLAN -
If, in the opinion of the Board of Directors, sufficient subscrip
tions are not obtained to justify proceeding with the hospital
project, all subscriptions will be cancelled and all money paid
thereon will be returned to the subscribers.
THE NEED
There is an immediate need for 169 additional approved hos
pital beds in Jackson County. Build the new Rogue Valley
Memorial Hospital and make Jackson County a great medical
centerl

the memorials, the names of all who contributed any sum of
money, and the volunteer workers of the money-raising cam
paign . . .all who make this new hospital possible ... Their

will know that you helped build this hospital.
