Begins Schedule
Of Night Sessions
Hornbrook First night
meeting for Hornbrook Parent
Teacher association was held
October 6 at the schoolhouse.
Mrs. Dan Metzer, president, con
ducted the session.
The group voted to provide
milk for the school children, and
first plans were made for a car
nival to be held October 29 at
the Grange hall. Room mothers
will hold parties at the school
October 30.
About 10 fathers attended the
Sheeting, as well as a number of
Siotfeers.
Cold Hill Youth
Announce Project
Gold Hill Senior Methodist
Youth Fellowship of Gold Hill
Community Methodist church
. has made plans to wash cars this
fall as a money-raising project.
First work session will be held
Saturday, October 15, at Bill
Moser's Associated ' station in
Gold Hill.
Miss Sandra Densmore, chair
man for the day, states that the
group will appreciate the patron
age of Gold Hill car owners.
Miss Donna Burnett was elect
ed publicity chairman at a re-

Tickets for "The Bremen
Town Musicians" a musical stage
play for children will be avail
able at the schools of the county
on Monday and Tuesday noon
hours, October 17 and 18th the
sponsoring group, American As
sociation of University Women,
announced today.
Permission from parents must
be brought to school in a note
before a child can buy a ticket
or he excused to attend this play,
it is stressed. Two matinee show
ings, one at 1:45 p.m., the second
at 3:30 p.m. will be given Octo
ber 18 at the Craterian theatre.
The first matinee is for pre
school children and the first and
second grades. This matinee will
be out at three o'clock. The sec
ond performance for children in
the third to sixth grades will
start at 3:30 p.m.
Children from the county
schools are urged to come to
the first show no matter what
grade in schiol as it is expected
more seats will be available for
the first show.

Announce' Events
Phoenix The youth group
of Phoenix Presbyterian church
elected officers last Sunday at
a meeting at the church. They
are Miss Sandra Owens, moder
ator; Miss Elizabeth Pramann,
vice-moderator; Jim James, secretary-treasurer;
Ray Dahl and
Miss Pramann, contact chairmen;
Miss Sheila Thompson, social
chairman.
The group is making exten
sive plans for the fall and win
ter program.
Monday, October 17, the Men's
club of the church will hold the
first fall meeting. A colored film,
"Indian Work in Nevada," will
be shown following a 6:30 p.m.
potluck dinner. The Rev. Ernest
Volkman is in charge of the pro
gram for the evening. All men
of the church and the commun
ity are invited.
Those attending are asked to
take hot dishes, salads or desserts
for the dinner.
The executive ' committee of
the Women's association of the
church met Tuesday at the home
of Mrs. Wade Loofburrow. Plans
were made for the fall and win
ter work of the organization.
The association will meet on
Thursday, October 20, at 10:30
a.m. at the church and it is stated
that the meeting is important.
