Three-Way Cards Said
To Give Good Picture
Stowe, Vt.-U.R) School re
port cards were once pretty
much of a one-sided affair, but
times have changed in this ski
resort center.
High school students still
bring report cards home, but
they now return to school with
a special report from their par
ents. It covers home member
ship, use of leisure time, and
health habits.
Parents submit the report
twice during the school year as
part of a three-way report sys
tem developed by a, committee
of parents, students, and teach
ers. The school reports on the
scholarship and citizenship each
nine weeks of the school term.
The system is designed to give
an over-all picture of each stu
dent's individual development
during the school year.

Dior Influence
Spreads to Men
Paris (U.R) Fasfaion czar
Christian Dior has set out to in
fluence men's wear.
The house of Dior has opened
a boutique with a special sec
tion for men's, fashions.
"We are not opening a tailor
ing business heaven forbid!"
said a Dior ' aide. "But there is
a lot more to men's dress than
suits."
The men's section contains all
the accessories the fashion-con-scious
man needs ties, socks,
handkerchiefs, colored and suede
vests, suspenders, scarves. And
leather pants.
"Nothing better for sports
wear," a Dior spokesman said of
the pants.
Most famed customer to date
in the men's section has been
Marlene Dietrich, the actress;
"She bought a pair of the lea
ther pants for herself," a sales
girl said, "They are in black and
with her figure well, she just
gave them everything."
Will Dior go on to more basic
designs in men's clothing?
"Who knows," said the aide.
"This has been such a success
maybe." "
