O. T. Wilson now threshing
grain in this district, claims the
yields so far have been disap
pointing. The straw, he says, is
tough and in some cases heavy
enough to produce 60 to 80 bush

half that amount. Also we hear
many complaints about apples
and other fruit not sizing up,
and corn and vegetables not hav

the sage of Payne's Gulch, up

conditions have been brought
about by the atom bomb exper

into the Sanford Richardson
farm last Friday, accompanied
by Rex, the elk hound pup, the
kind of dog Don says they use
in Denmark to stalk an animal
which in this country is called
a moose. To one not well versed
on dogs, Rex's ears and curled
up tail might be mistaken for a
pedigreed berkshire pig. Al
though from prize stock, the
pup does not as yet have a per
fect rating, as the tail carried
hoop style on the back is a little
off center which may cause a
pulling to the right when track
ing moose.
