Notice is hereby given that sealed
bids will be received by the under
signed until the hour of 7:30 o clock
P.M.. August 16. 1955 and immediately
thereaittr opened by the Council of
the City of Medford. Oregon for the
purcha.e of City of Medford Water
Mam Bonds. Series L. in the sum of
$6886 47 dated August 1. 1S55.
Each of said bonds shall be in the
principal amount of S500.00. except
bond No. 1. which shall be in the
principal amount of $286.47. numbered
one to fourteen inclusive and shall
mature in ten years from the date
thereof and shall bear interest at not
to exceed six per cent per annum, as
shall be designated by the purchaser,
payable semi-annually on August 1st
and February 1st of each year.
Said bonds shall be wholly or in
part subject to redemption upon the
payment of the face value thereof
with accrued intrest to the date of
payment at any semi-annual coupon
period at or after one year from the
dae of such bonds as provided by
Section 123 of the Charter of the City
of Medford. Oregon.
Each bid shall be in writing and
accompanied by the certified check
of the bidder in the amount of not
less than two per cent of the par
value of said bonds.
All hiris shall be for not less than
par value of said bonds and accrued
interest thereon.
Bonds shall be sold subject to ap
proving opinion of Winfree, McCul
loch. Shuler and Sayre. Attorneys at
Law. Portland. Oregon as to the
validity thereof.
The Council reserves the right to
reject any and ail bids.
