fornia's institute of transporta
tion and traffic engineering re
ports that tests show night visi
bility is cut as much as 45 per
cent by colored glass in auto
windshields.
The tinted glass does not keep
out much daytime glare either,
he said, and its only significant
advantage is in keeping out the
sun's heat rays on a warm day.

Rochester, N.Y. (U.R) August
Kineman, manager of Rochester's
clearing house, has $6,111 which
he wishes someone would take
off his hands.
The money is left over from
the "bank holiday" declared in
1933 by the late President Roose
velt. Rochester banks issued $2,
OOO.OOO in scrip, good only in the
city.
Most of the scrip was redeem
ed at the end of the holiday, but
apparently a few people forgot.
Or, said Kineman, they may be
keeping some of it as souvenirs.
At any rate, Kineman would
appreciate it if those holding the
scrip would come along and col
lect. He said he can't balance his
books the way things are now.
