Home Nursing Hints
There's an Easier Way
Neither a baseball bat aor a dollar bill U the correct approach la the youngster
who clenches his teeth and says, "No!" when it's tims to taka his medicine.
The child should be brought to mnderstand that the medicine is necessary
to help him get welL Some children respond quickly if they are made to feel
that the decision to take medicine rests in their hands. Others react to the
suggestion that doctor, father, or some other trusted person will be proud el
them if they take it without fuss.
For other hints on how to get children and adults too to take their medi
cine like good soldiers, join a Bed Cross home nursing course. Your local
chapter will help yon sign up.
