Sealed bids for the construction of
a Fire Hall and Library Building will
be received at the City Hall. Central
Point. Oregon until 8 P.M.. Pacific
Standard Time. April 25. 1955. and
will then and there be opened and
publicly read aloud. Bids received
after the hour set for opening will not
be considered.
Bids will be received on the basis
of one contract to include all work
with alternates deleting wiring and
plumbing. In addition to the above,
individual bids will be called on the
wiring and plumbing. Awards will be
made on the basis of the lowest com
bined bid.
Bids must be submitted in the exact
form of the Proposal and Bid Form
incorporated in the specifications.

A set of drawings and specifications
may be obtained by prime bidders
from the Architect upon a deposit of
$50.00. Additional sets of drawings
and specifications may be obtained
from the Architect for the sum of
$15.00 per set. not refundable, to
cover the cost of reproduction. Such
additional sets shall remain the prop
erty of the Architect and shall be re
turned to him in good condition after
the opening of the bids.
Each bid shall be accompanied by a
certified check, or bid bond (with
authorized Surety Company) made
payable to City Recorder, City of Cen
tral Point, Oregon, in an amount not
less than 5 of the base bid.
No bidder may withdraw his bid
after the hour set for the opening
thereof, or before the award of the
contract, unless said award is delayed
for a period of 30. days.
The Owner preserves the right to
reject any and all bids, to waive any
informality in bids received, and to
accept or reject any or all items of
any bid, unless the bidder qualifies
his bid by specific limitation.
