vacancy created by the resigna
tion of Mrs. Robert . Beaman,
who hag! moved to Wenatchee,
Wash.-
Mrs.' Jane Carpenter, presi
dent of the board, announced
that Miss Mary. Vahdenberg, psy
chiatric social worker for the
clinic, will attend toe. American
Orthopsychiatry association
meeting-in Chicago Feb.. 28 and
March 1 and 2.

0 The Clinic service report,, giv
en by Miss .Vandenberg, showed
that the number of children re
ferred to the clinic is increasing
each month, without a -comparable
increase in elinie staff per
sonnel. It was reported that more
? parents are coming to the clinic
directly for help with their chil
dren's problems. Formerly, par
ents brought their children to
the- elinife mainly upon the sug
gestion of doctors or school personnel-.

; . The . board approved of 'the
division of staff time - between
direct service to children in di
agnosis and treatment, and in
direct service in the community
to those who work directly with
children. '
The next meeting will be held
March 7 at noon at the court
