Crosby Reluctant
To Leave Hospital

Bing Crosby, in 'excellent", con
dition following - surgery, two
weeks ago, "appeared reluctant
today to leave St. John' Hos
pital in nearby Santa Monica." 1
A hospital spokesman said
Crosby, who has been conduct
ing his business affairs from at
private room, is an excellent
patient and "doesn't - seem to
be in any hurry'to leave!"
Dr F. C. Schlumberger, who
performed the operation for re
moval of kidney stones, said the
singer was "getting aiong won
derfully went. and will be, sent
home next week,
