tied children. Last winter, at
church, I met a young woman,
widow, who was very sweet
and kind to me. 1 started going
to see her. She has two chil
dren, both girls. One is six
and the other four. They seem
to like me yery much and I
; hare become so devoted to .
their mother that I am con
sidering marrying her, even
though she is just the age of
my older daughter. -1 men
tioned this to my children the
other evening : and they got
very upset. They say they
-would be happy if I remarried
but as my son put it, 'This
woman just wants a meal
ticket.' She doesn't seem like
that type of woman to me and
1 wonder if my children are .
not afraid they will be left
out if I remarry. By that, ' I
mean they may have counted
on my money when I am
gone. Would I be foolish to
. marry this woman?"
(A) You would be foolish to
marry a woman the age of your
daughter, especially one with
such young
children." This
woman may
love you for
yourself, but I
am inclined to
a g r e e with
your son that
it is more
likely that she
wants a source
of support for
herself and
Dr. Hurlock
her children.
Have you stopped to think
what life would be like with
two little girls around all the
time? No matter how much you
may like little children, could
you, at your age, stand the noise
and confusion that are inevitable
in a home . where there ; are
young children?
- -Then there is the matter of
being tied down. You and your
wife could not go out and do
thing together unless you made
provisions for. the children. Are
you anxious to become a nightly
"babysitter", or do you want to
have: some ' fuij while you . are
still able to enjoy it?
Why not consider marrying a
woman more nearly your own
age, and one whose interests
would be more in line with
yours? I am sure you would find
such a person just as "sweet and
kind"' as the woman you are
now thinking of marrying and
she ,yould certainly . be more
congenial. 1

Should Be Built To Grow
The modern home, Koch said,
should be built to "grow large

smaller again" as babies arrive,
grow up,' and then leave for col
lege and to establish homes of
their own. . "
Koch is president of Techbuilt

he said. '
Builders can give people bet

But, he said, the builders
themselves, and the peole who
