New Building's Plans Expected
Central Point Plans for the
proposed combination fire hall
library building are expected to
be- presented by the architect to
the Central Point city council
on Monday.
Fire Chief Oran Chastain re
ported that a survey of the fire
hall property has just been com
pleted by Boyden and Boyden
by order of Mayor Bon Burel
son. The survey established the
property runs 55 feet on Pine
st. and 140 feet on Third st.
The present structures are to be
removed when the new one is
built.
Monday's meeting will be the
first for Mayor-Elect. Don Faber.
E. R. Yocom was reelected to
the council in November and
Harry Tonn and M. C. Gleason
will begin serving their first
terms.
Nyssa, Ore (U.R) The north
and south boards of control for
the Owyhee project in eastern
Oregon met here yesterday
to consider a $500,000 rehabili

citrate, ..was for many years
used in modifying milk for in
fant feeding one to two grains
of the salt was added to each
ounce of milk used in the mix
ture, to prevent the formation
of large hard curds. Although
this, practice has been super
seded by the use of lim'e water,

that what was harmless enough
to ' feed babies : every day has
suddenly become unsafe to en
trust to plain people to cook up
for the occasional use at home.

the half of it yet. For years I
have recommended a corn rem
edy (notice, please, I do not call
it corn cure) which was an old
standby long before I began
calling folks names, consisting
of a solution of 30 grains, about
one-half teaspoonful, or salicylic
acid in - one-half fluid-ounce,
(about a tablespoonful) of flexi
ble collodion. This is to be
painted on corn, wart or callus
once a day for a week, by which
time it will . have softened so
you can wipe it away. Yahbut!
Now a mid-west druggist tells
the world that a druggist can
not legally, sell 30 grains of
salicylic acid without a prescrip
tion, arid there you are again.
