INGENIOUS ESCAPE A New York reporter examines
dummy left behind in cell on Rikers Island by prisoner
Steve Lopez. The7 35-year-old convict's ingenious escape
involved his prowess as a "cat burglar" and key maker.
Lopez fashioned a raft from drift wood, was picked up by
a tug, taken to hospital by unknowing police and allowed
to leave. He was recaptured at a rendevous spot he picked
for his girl friend. .
