of the family, presented the
couple a wedding' cake which
she had made, and which was
used as part of the refreshments
:. The Bollingers were married
November 26, 1904 at Elkhart,
Ind. They moved to a suburb
of Chicago where Mr. Bollinger
was an executive in an adver
tising agency for 25 years They
came to Medford upon his re
tirement as assistant sales man-
ager for the Curtiss Candy com
pany.
Decorations at the reception
included golden yellow , chrys
anthemums and the tables were
sprinkeled with gold sequins.
The couple was presented
many gifts. ' v
Mrs. Bollinger wore a laven
der knit dress with pink acces
sories. Her corsage was a pink
orchid.
Mrs. I. S. Home and Mrs. Carl
I. Henrikson, sisters of t Mrs.
Bollinger, arrived by plane from
Hollywood, Calif., for the occa
sion. Mrs. Home and Mrs C
Frederick Underwood poured.
Mr. and Mrs. Bollinger had
five children, four boys and a
daughter. During the year dif
ferent ones of the family have
visited the couple from Omaha,
Nebr., and Spokane, Wash. A
son from Chicago was unable to
attend. They have 10 grandchil
dren and one great-grandchild

Honors Woman
Mrs. Verner (Helen) Lugnet,
who has been in charge of the
community hospital credit de
partment, was honored Wednes
day at a tea given at the hospi
iai penmouse. Attending were
employees of the hospital. Mrs.
Lugnet has been employed at the
hospital for the past four years
and Wednesday was her last day
in her position there.
She was presented an orchid
and a gift by the employees.

Serious New Attack
Of Stomach Pains

Pius XII, who will be 79 next
March, suffered a serious new
attack Saturday of the hic
coughs, stomach pains and fa
tigue which afflicted him last
winter. , t
Authoritative Vatican sources
said that the Pontiff had never
recovered completely from his
last winter's illness and that
many of the symptoms of that
attack had returned, but in a
milder form.
Returns to Vatican
The Pope, clad in warm
clothes to protect him from the
late afternoon winds blowing off
Lake Alban, was driven back
to the Vitican from his summer
villa at Castelgandolfo today.
The Pontiff immediately will
begin a period of special treat
ment and enforced rest. How
ever, Vatican sources said there
was no cause for alarm
They said the Pope had a
'minor crisis" Friday and is
being fed indirectly again. But
they pointed out that the Pontiff
was well enough to make the
16-mile, 40-minute drive from
Castelgandolfo to his Vatican
apartment.
The Pope s physician,. Prof.
Richardo Galeazzi-Lisi, accom
panied the Pontiff back to the
Vatican from the summer villa
and ordered him to take a pre-
Christmas rest and to limit his
activities. . He also ordered the
indirect feeding as he did when
the Pope was 11 last January and
February. -
Dr. Paul Niehans, the Swiss
specialist who has been treating
the Pope periodically since last
February, saw the Pope only
twice this week instead of his
usual 'daily visit.

Lisi said that the physician feels
there is no special cause' for
concern if the Pope reduces his
activities.
The Pontiff's ailment comes
and goes' depending on the pace
of his work. The illness is pro
duced by a nervous tension
caused by overwork and worry.
However, the Pope has ignored
his doctor's warnings and re
fused to cancel his major ac
tivities. -
Meeting Procedure
Classes Scheduled
The first in a series of classes
on parliamentary procedures
will be held Wednesday, Dec. 1,
starting at 7:30 p. m. in Room
26 of Medford senior high school
it was announced Saturday. -;
Three two-hour class sessions
will be devoted to the study,
explanation, demonstration, ap
plication and practice of correct
parliamentary procedures in the
conduct of group meetings. The
sessions are designed to aid
adults with organized group af
filiations. The classes, which will be in
structed by DeVere Taylor, of
the high school faculty, will
meet from 7:30 to 9:30 p. m. on
Dee. 1, 8 and 15. Registration
fee is $1 and registrations may
be made at the first class ses
sion.' No fee is charged members
of the preceding class wishing to
review fundamentals learned.

Woman To Be Reunited With
Small Son After Ten Years
Spokane U.R) A former
Polish refugee woman will be
reunited today with her 11-year-old
son whom she hasn't seen
since she was captured by the
Germans in Warsaw when the
child was one year old. .
Mrs. Wladyslavia Garcia of
Pullman,-Wash., plans to meet
her son, Andrzij Porazik, at 5:30
a.m. when the boy is scheduled
to arrive here on a Northwest
Orient Airlines plane from New
York.
"I'm so happy, so very happy,"
she said. "For years I have tried
to get my boy to America. And
now he is coming."
Andrzij, her only child, had
been sent to spend two weeks
with his paternal grandmother
at her home near the Baltic Sea
in September, 1944, when Mrs.
Garcia was captured and her
husband was killed in street
fighting in that city.
