Marvin Throne,' Navy, air

in the Pacific for the past three

Marvin says Japan is a very

called from Japan. It was an
exciting and "pleasant experience

Plastie Surgery
: After an automobile accident
in Paris I underwent a trivial
operation at the hands of that
great French plastic . surgeon,
Dr. Thiery de Martel. Since
first mentioned that I have been
repeatedly asked, "can you rec
ommend a plastic surgeon?" Dr.
de Martel passed on during
World War II. While I cannot
recommend, from experience,
any particular specialist, I can
say some of the world's greatest
pastic surgeons are in New York
City. Not so long ago Jacqueline
Auriol. French aviatrix, whose
face had been completely disfig
ured in a plane accident, came to
New York City for operations
bv the clastic surgeons of the
Manhattan Eye, Ear and Throat
Hospital. As a result, Mme
Auriol is once more a very good
looking woman.
Passing By
Johnny Ray. The intense
crooner. Johnny displayed a tal

When three years old he could
play the hymn, "Rock of Ages'
on the piano.

What are the three sweetest
words in the English language?
Majority believes they are "I
love you." However, there are
cynics who favor "enclosed find
check." How about two little
words? I think "thank you" de
serves a high rating. How de
pressing it is after making . a
purchase to have your change
handed . you in silence. The
Hickey Brothers, countrywide
cigar stand chain organization,
consider an expression of thanks
so important that it has .above
all its establishments a sign read
ing: "Your purchase free if we
fail to thank you."
