Of Edminster-Brill Rites
. Miss Mary Ann Brill, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Scott E. Brill,
Trail, became the bride of Robert Edminster, Merced, Calif., in an
evening wedding July 12.

performed the double-ring cere
mony at First . Presbyterian
church. Medford. Baskets of
gladiolus, and white flower bows
attached to the pews decorated
' the church.
The bride'i gown was of
organdy imported from Switzer
land, and styled in ankle length
with a high neck . and tiered
skirt trimmed with lace. Her
finger-tip length veil was held
by a Juliet cap purchased in Bel
gium by the bride on her tour of
the continent last summer.
Fingerless organdy and lace
gloves completed the costume.
She carried an orchid and steph
. an otis bouquet.
Mrs. George De Gregori, sis
ter of the bride from Castro
Valley, Calif., was matron of
honor for the wedding. Brides
maids and brides matron were
Miss Susan Brill and Miss Dor
othy Polley, cousins of the bride,
and Mrs. John Quackenbush,
Burlingame, Calif. They wore
ballerina length taffeta and net
gowns of pastel shades, and
their nosegays were of varied
colored flowers.
The bride's father gave her in
marriage, and best man for the
ceremony was Robert Dutton,
San Francisco, Calif. George De
Gregori, brother-in-law of the
bride, and John Quackenbush
were ushers. Candlelighters,
Miss Judy Brill, the bride's cou
sin, and Miss Phyllis Briggs,
wore pastel green taffeta dresses
trimmed with lace. Sheri Wat
son, Shady Cove, was flower
girl. She wore a pastel pink taf
feta and white net frock.
The bridegroom's sister, Miss
Sally Edminster, Livingston,
Calif., fang for the ceremony,
accompanied on the organ by
Miss Priscilla .West.
The reception was held at the
Brill home following the wed
ding, with about 80 guests pres
ent. Mrs. Louis Polley, Tacoma
Wash., aunt of the bride, cut the
cake, and another aunt, Mrs.
James K. Hoey, poured. The

During the reception Miss
Sally Edminster caught the
bride's bouquet. The house was
lighted by tapers and the decor
ations were ester reed daisies
and sword fern.

the wedding and reception were

and son, Robert, San Diego; Mr.
and Mrs. George Larson, Ta
coma, Wash.; Mr. and Mrs. Louis
Polley and daughter, Dorothy,
Tacoma; and the bridegroom's
three sisters, Miss Sally Ed
minster, Miss Adelia Edminster,
Turlock, Calif., and Mrs. Donna
Antonini and family, Stockton,
Calif.
The newlyweds traveled to
Sun Valley, Ida., after the wed
ding, and will remain there for
the summer. Next fall they will
ntake their home in Merced,
Calif., where the bridegroom is
employed as an athletic coach at
the high school. The couple
graduated from San Jose State
college, and the bride is a grad
uate of Medford High school.
She is a recreation technician
for the Veterans' administration
at Palo Alto.
Two Hostesses Give
Shower and Party
For Medford Visitor

July 11 at the Hugdahl home,

honoring Mrs. Robert Brewer,
Madras, Ore.

Mrs. Robert Brewer, Mrs. How
ard Glascock, and Miss Donna
Hussong. The gifts were then
presented to the honor guest,
and refreshments served by the

Pearson.

Picnic Planned

picnic at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, July
27, at the home of Mr. and Mrs.
Glenn Abbott, -on Lake Creek.
Lodges will furnish the drinks,
rolls and butter, and the ice
cream.
