Lewis D. Burnell, son of Mrs.
Lily Burnell of Jacksonville, is
presently training as an Air
Force technician. The base is
located at the historic former
cavalry post outside Cheyenne.

Point, who was killed near Cave
Junction in a logging accident
Wednesday, will be held at Perl
funeral home Saturday at 2 p.m.
The deceased, who was born
at Lynn, Ark., on Sept. 13, 1914,
had been a resident of southern
Oregon for the past four years
and was a member of the Church
of Christ.
Survivors include his wife,
Winnie, Central Point; four step
children. Randy, Lavaughn,
Barbara and Jeanette, all of
Central Point: his father, I. F,
Blackwell, Batesville, Ark.; his
mother, Mrs. James Queen, To
ledo, O.; a sister, Mrs. Hazel

Visitors Here Mr. and Mrs,
J. R. Marshall Sr., Oswego, Ore.,
are visitors this week at the
home of Mr. and Mrs. Frank De
Souza, 30 Western avenue. The
Marshalls are former Medford
residents. While living here
Marshall was in the printing
business and owned an orchard
in the Griffin Creek area.
Back Injured J. C. Lusk,
Eagle Point, suffered back in
juries this morning when he fell
from a load of hay, according to
Conger - Morris ambulance at
tendants who brought him to
Community hospital. The mis
hap reportedly occurred at the
Ed Chamberlain barn in the Ea
gle Point district.
Dynamite Victim While play
ing with a dynamite cap at his
home, eight-year-old Robert
Flory, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ches
ter Flory, route 4, box 51i,
Grants Pass, suffered body in
juries today. He was taken to Sa
cred Heart hospital, where at
tendants reported that his con
dition was not serious and he
would probably be released today.

Funeral services for George
A. Rehart, 108 Oregon Terrace,
a native of Oregon and a resi.
dent of Medford for the past
seven years, who died in a local
hospital Thursday, will be con.
ducted at 11 a.m. Saturday in
the First Presbyterian church,
with the Rev. D. Kirkland West
officiating. Masonic rites will be
conducted by Medford lodge No.
103, A. F. & A. M. Interment
will be in Siskiyou Memorial
park. Arrangements are in
charge of Chapel Mortuary.
He was born in Lakevlew,
Ore., on Sept. 12,. 1898, and was
married in Klamath Falls on
Sept. 18, 1932, to Mae V. Vernon
who survives. They came to
Medford about seven years ago,
where Mr. Rehart has been en
gaged in the lumber trucking
business. '
The deceased was a member
of Medford lodge No. 108. A. F.
at A. M.; Medford Consistory of
Scottish Rite; Reames chapter
No. 66, Order of Eastern Star;
and Roxy Ann court. Order of
Amaranth. He was also a mem
ber of Elk's lodge No. 1536 at
Lakeview.
Other survivors include a con,
George I., Paisley, OTe.; a daugh
ter, Mrs. Edward Leydig, Sacra
mento, Calif.; seven sisters,
Mrs. Ella Grob, Sacramento;
Mrs. Rose Bryan, Winthrop,
Wash.; Mrs. Kate Metzker and
Mrs. Ruby Lovelace, both of
Lakeview; Mrs. Marie Thomas,
Reno; Mrs. Ethel Carl, Healds
burg, Calif., and Mrs. Nell Brem
er, Reading, Mich.; two brothers,
William and S. T., both of Lake
view; and a granddaughter,
Candace Leydig, Sacramento
Honorary pall bearers will be
