Dr. Albert P. Seiiers, in an
article in Today's Health, said
laryngitis sufferers should speak
in whispers.
"Man is a loquacious animal,"
he said. "He loves to talk and
finds it a burden hard to endure
when he Is deprived of the pow
ers of vocal expression.
He contends that when any
part of the body is injured, the
best treatment is to let that part
rest. That includes the larynx,
which is tense in speech and can
be rested only in silence.
