To Talk Sunday
To Presbyterians
Mi Dorothy Wagner, West
ern area secretary of the Board
of Foreign Missions of the Pres
byterian church, will speak at
: First Presbyterian church at the
11 a. m. service on Sunday. Her
tonic will be "A World of Op-
nortunity."
Miss Wagner spent three years
In China and was acquainted
' there with Dr. D. K. West, pas
tor of the Medford church, and
Mrs. West. She was the main
speaker at the Presbyterlal at
C.nat Bav in April.
A no-host dinner, honoring
Miss Wagner, will be held at 1
t m. Sunday at the Jackson ho

Subject of Sermon
"The Unpardonable Sin" will
be the subject of Evangelist Har
old E. Metcalf's sermon Sunday
at 7:30 p.m. in the Bible auditor
lum on South Central avenue.
The auditorium choir will sing,
"Master, the Tempest is Raging,"
and there will be a trumpet solo
by Delmer Fjarll. A radio broad
cast over KMED will follow.
"The Smallest Man In the
' Bible who Accomplished a Great
Work for God," is the sermon on
Saturday at 3:30 p.m. and will
be followed by baptism of 15
candidates, making the tbtal bap
tisms for May 43. .

they will meet their daughter,
' Cathryne, who is completing her
Junior year at Texas Christian
university. They will bring her
to Medford to spend the sum
mer. They also will visit another
, daughter, Mrs. Hugh Mitchell at
Port Arthur, Tex. Their third
daughter, Charlotte, will accom
pany them. Mr. Anglemyer is
pastor of the First Christian

Hear Australian
The Rev. A. A. E. Berg, Bris
bane, superintendent of the Aus
tralian Nazarene district will
speak Sunday at 11 a. m. at the
Medford church ol the Naiar
ene, according to the pastor,
Rev. Vernon Wilcox.
He is in the United States to
attend the General Assembly of
the denomination, which con
venes in Kansas City, Mo., June
22 to 28, and is spending some
weeks in speaking engagements
over the country. He will be ac
companied to Medford by his
wife and small daughter Mar-

In 1949 Mr. Berg, a former
officer with the Australian
Northern command, was appoint
ed head of the Nazarene district,
A comparatively new work, or
ganized in 1948 through the ef
forts of the Nazarene youth
group, the district has shown ex
ceptional growth In its brief per
iod of existence, Wilcox report
ed.
In addition to preaching in the
morning service, Mr. Berg will
speak briefly in the Sunday
school which opens at 9:45 a. m.,
telling some facts about Austral
ia.

are scheduled because of the
high school baccalaureate.

Prof. Ward Rice, of North
west Christian college, former
pastor of the Medford church
will speak at the 11 a.m. wor
ship service. There will be no
evening service because of sen
ior high baccalaureate.
Mr. Rice will speak at tne
June 8 morning service and
John W. Runyon at the evening
service on that date. Mr. Kunyon
is establishing a congregation of
Disciples of Christ at Gold Hill.
Zion Lutheran
Pastor Arrives
The Rev. G. Herbert Hiller
man. new pastor at Zion Luth
eran church, is to conduct his
first worship service here Sun
day morning. He arrived this
week to assume his duties.
Mr. Hillerman comes from
Juneau, Alaska, where he had
served as pastor of Resurrection
Lutheran church since 1941. He
served churches in Gardena and
Richmond, Calif., before that.
Mr. and Mrs. Hillerman have
three children.
He succeeds Dr. O. W. Ebright
who was called to take charge
of a home for the aged at Al-
hambra, Calif.
