JEALOUSY OP EX-LOVE CAN
SPOIL FUTURE HAPPINESS
Young people fall in love and
out of It many time before they
find the person they want to
marry. These loves should be
forgotten and not allowed to
make trouble in the future. That
Is the problem which is facing
the young woman who wrote:

and told him that she was in

said he loved her very much
and was very much hurt. I
keep thinking of her and find
that I am very Jealous of her.
She is married and lives out ol
the slate. Wa argue about this
and my friend says it is fool

cause It Is all over and he
loves me now. He has told me
that she was very beautiful,
and this upsets me too. Can
you tall me how to overcome

Br ILIZABETH HURLOCK, PH.D.
you, unless you are willing to do
this, you had better break off
your friendship with him now
before you hurt him as the other
girl did. His old romance is a
part of the past for him and it
should be for you also.
Think ol Own Youth
Think back to your own
youth. Were you not infatuated
with one or more boys whom you
later fell out of love with? You
may not have reached the point
of seriousness that your friend
did but, I am sure, you thought
you were seriously in love at.the
time. Now they are a part of the
past and you love someone else.
That is how it Is with him. If
you keep your thoughts on the
present and future, the past will
take care of Itself.
