Upper Rogu Grange
Upper Rogue Grange met May
1 with Master Eda Torrance pre
siding, Forty pupils from Elk
Trail school took part in a very
worthwhile program. There was
also a Mother's Day reading by
Don Gillespie of Prospect school
and a tableau In which Mrs, Lee
Merrlman and her Infant son
took part, accompanied 'by Mrs.'
George Moore at the piano.
First and second obligation
was given Mr. and Mrs. Kindschl
and third and fourth obligation
to Mrs. Vincent.
Donation of $30 to the 4-H
club was voted to send two de
serving 4-H children to summer
camp.
Mrs. Schimmle wat reported
ill in the hospital.
Secretary Leona Hughes was
presented with a check from Po
mona for having collected all
dues In 1951, also a check for the
Grange from Pomona for having
a gain of 12 per cent in member
shin. Sister Hubbel from Eagle
Point Grange was a visitor.
Grange was glad to see brother
and sister Ditsworth who have
moved to Bellview and don't get
to attend here very often.
Next Grange meeting, Thurs
day, May 15, there will be a pro
gram on Civil Defense, and all
are urged to attend.
Next H.E.C. meeting will be at
the hall, Thursday, May 8, start
ing at 1 p.m.

Next regular meeting of Live
Oak Grange will be on Thurs
day evening, May 8. The first
and second degrees will be given
eight new members. There will
be a Mother's Day program,
starting at 8 p.m., to which the
public is Invited.
'On Sunday, May 11, the HEC
of Live Oak Grange will serve a
Mother's Day breakfast from 8
a.m. to 12 in the dining room of
the hall.
