Around Hollywood
Ji Hollywood (U.R) Terry
"Moore blushed Monday that

since then, she said, she's con
centrated on not being too gay
a divorcee.
"Everybody figures a divor
cee well . . . before I was mar
ried it was the nice young boys
who called and now it's the
older men, the kind that takes
out every girl in town . . the
same ones who called Elizabeth
Taylor after she was divorced,"
she explained.
Doesn't Want Reputation
"I don't want to get a reputa
tion, so I won't go out on dates
unless with somebody I really
like."
The pert actress lived with
her parents in their modest
home in suburban Glendale be
fore she married the handsome
Davis a year ago. After the mar
riage broke up, she decided to
live in Hollywood with her
jtand-in.
I" went back to my parents'
home," she said. "It was the
same way when Elizabeth moved
into her own apartment after
her divorce. Oh, some people
said terrible things!"
Juit Good Friend
Nearly every eligible bachelor
in Hollywood has dialed Terry's
number and she has dated movie
and aircraft mogul Howard
Hughes. Their dates have been
itemed by excited gossip col
umnists, but Terry insisted he's
"just a good friend who would
do anything for me."
"I'm not one of his'girls," she
added.
Terry figures he'r marriage
didn't last because "I was swept
up by circumstances."
"My family and our friends
kept saying how wonderful we
were together, and it kept snow-

balling. Then his family called
me 'daughter' and it was too
late to stop it," she said. "After
the honeymoon was over, we
were two young kids with noth
ing in common. I feel as if I've
never been married. "And I
won't marry again for a couple
of years." v
She's Grown Up
Terry's grown-up on the
screen now, too. She nosed out
Marilyn Monroe and other glanv
our girls for one of the plum
roles of the year, as a sexy col
lege girl in producers Hal
Wallis' movie version of the
Broadway hit, "Come Back,
Little Sheba."
Her marriage, she went on,
helped her play those love
scenes. "Before I was married
I thought I knew everything
she sighed. "Now I know how
little I really know."
