Devore, 25 Louis street, were in
volved in a collision about 8:15
p.m. Friday at Main and Ivy
streets, according to police re
ports. The grill, fender and bum
per of the Huber sedan and the
rear fender of the Devore vehicle
were said damaged. Police stated
that Devore was cited for failure
to yield the right-of-way. He was
fined $5 in police court on Sat
urday.

238 about noon Saturday, State
police reported. Minor damage
resulted and no one was injured,
the report said.

here April 1 to visit for 20 days
with his parents, Mr. and Mrs.

Ft. Campbell, Ky., and is to leave
in May for Alaska to participate
in maneuvers there. He recently
returned to his station after tak
ing part in "Operation Snow
fall," at Camp Drum, N. Y.

son, son of Mr. and Mrs. John
Jackson, Merlin, Ore., formerly
of Shady Cove, has been pro
moted to a corporal .in the Air
Force. He attended high school
at Eagle Point and enlisted in
the service at Medford. He is

ceiving special training in radio
mechanics at Scott Air Force
base in Illinois, and a course of
facsimile at Kelly Air Force
base in Texas.

"Hidden Treasures," a religious-science
film prepared by
the Moody Institute of Science,
will be shown at the First Bap
tist church of Medford at 8
p. m. Wednesday, April 9, it was
announced Saturday by the Rev.
Wolford Dawes, pastor.
Some of the subjects to be
shown in the film include mi
nute flowers, microscopic sea
creatures and other tiny vege
ables and plants, as well as
some scenes photographed
through the 200-inch telescope
on Mt Palomar.
The film is one of a series
of pictures designed to show
how God's work is evident in
nature, Mr. Dawes said.

The giant plane, capable of
carrying 200 men, was furnished
by the 62nd troop carrier wing
from McChord Air Force Base,
Wash.
Those aboard fhe plane for the
trip to San Francisco included
James Winkler, a lieutenant in
the Medford squadron of the
civil air patrol.
WSB Okays Wage Hike
For Construction Men
Portland (U.PJ The Wage
Stabilization Board said Satur
day it has approved a 10-cent an
hour wage increase for an esti
mated 25,000 to 30,000 heavy
construction and highway work
ers in Oregon and six southwest
ern Washington counties.
The pay boosts are for oper
ating engineers, teamsters and la
borers. The 10-cent gain includes five
cents negotiated and five cents
allowed to cover cost of living
increases.

Well, the day has come! Too have your beautiful
