Shortal is 23 and comes from
Alton, 111. He's a six-footer and
weighs '190. He attended St,
Louis University and was presi
dent of his senior class, a foot
ball and baseball star and later
coached at a high school.
Cadet Paul B, Hoot Jr., from
Craig AFB, Setma. Ala., comes
from Erie, Pa. He attended
Washington and Lee and studied
business administration.
Cadet Joseph H. Paniel is sta
tioned at Ellington AFB, Hous
ton. He comes from Evanston,
111. He played football at Simp
son college, Indianola, la., and
did some fancy kicking around
on the stage as a member of the
school's drama elub.
