Operating revenues of the Cal
ifornia Oregon Power company
totaled 11,954.782 from electric
department operations, it was
revealed this week by the firm's
annual report to stockholders.
Th total was S926.537. or 8.40
per cent, more than revenues for
1950, which also included $329,
163 from water department sales.
Sales of electricity during the
year totaled 1,046,338,421 kilowatt-hours
sold at an average of,
1.136 per KW-hour. Total sales
were up 12.40 per cent over 1950.
Customers Increase
Electric service was being ren
dered to 76,143 customers at the
end cf the year, a gain of 4.92
per cent over the year before.
The number of electric customers
has increased 92.98 per cent, or
36,687, since Jan. 1 1942. Most
of this huge increase has come
since 1946, and in the past six
year period the number of cus
tomers has increased 62.42 per
tent.
Between 1942 and 1952, the
production of kilowatts increased
from 122,225 to 258,170, an in
crease of 111.23 per cent.
Expense Rise
Operating expenses for the
year, including taxes and de
preciation, amounted to $8,670,
557, an increase of 9.44 per cent
over 1950.
Net operating revenue in 1951
was $3,284,225.41.
On "the company's post war
construction projects, the report
said that cross capital expendi
tures for the year were $13,520,
835, and that construction
planned during the 1952-54 per
iod is estimated at $41,393,521.
Of this total. $11,476,521 has
been approved for use in system
construction during 1952. This
will include completion of the
Soda Spnpgs and iish L-reeK
nlants. scheduled for comrfetion
this month; completion of Clear-
; water No. 1 early in 1853, ana
: start of work on Clearwater
J No. 2.
Other 1952 projects also ln-
elude transmission line additions.

priest with a soft-drink bottle
"because he wouldn't give me
any money."
Victim of the pre-dawn at
tack 10 miles west of Butte is
father Michael J. Lynch, about
65, a priest at Anaconda's St.
Ann's hospital.
Father Lynch was found "cov
ered with blood" and incoherent
near his car early Tuesday.
Anaconda Police Chief Mike
Morris, who questioned suspect
Joe Ducept, 29, said "he has
given us a signed statement ad
tnitting the attack."
Ducept, "very drunk" when
spotted a mile from the . scene,
was picked up by the same two
youths who discovered Father
Lynch. .
Chief Morris said "we're
turning Ducept over to the coun
ty attorney to face charges.

week by his wife, Mrs. Jacalyn

bomber pilot is making her home
with her mother, Mrs. Clara
