sinking or submerged airplane
has been developed hee.
The buoy Is released as the
plane begins to, jo down and
water pressure activates a hydro
static valve. The buoy pops to
the surface, spreads .an amber
dye over about an acre of the
water and a blinker light goes
on.
The blinker winks 50 times a
minute for a 40-hour period.
Two flashlight batteries power
the light, which is under a plastic
dome and can be seen from the
air for SO to 75 miles on a
clear night.
Fresh dye trickles out of the
marker for a 24-hour period to
further mark- the spot where
the plane went down.
The buoy is attached to the
nylon twine which withstands a
pull of 200 pounds.
The light or dye marker on
the water would lead rescuers
to the cracked up plane. By fol
lowing the nylon line to the
plane, they could recover bodies
and salvage the plane, according
to the Panef Manufacturing Co.,
which developed the buoy.

written off his lake front real
estate holdings.
David had a piece of property
on Lake Erie near Paloesville,
O-, and when he did not receive

to county treasurer Howard
Cozad's attention.
In part, this is Cozad's reply:
"No bill was sent ... as there
Is no lot left to tax. Due to
erosion, it has all washed into
the lake and we have taken It
off the duplicate."
