concerned about the In-law prob
lem because so much has been
written and said about It lately.
When an inlaw lives with the
family, does it necessarily al
ways mean trouble? That is
what is concerning' the young
woman who wrote the follow

does, some
times, inter
fere, but then
you may have
interference
from relatives
or friends who
do not live in
your home

have the habit of trying to boss
other people and this causes
trouble.
A single man, by contrast, is
not likely to spend enough time
at home to do more than eat,
sleep, and dress. If he takes his

breakfast and dinner. Then he
will be out of the house the rest
of the time, either at work or
dating.
If he pays you and your new
husband for his board and lodg
ing, as be doubtless will, I can
guarantee that it will be the
easiest money you have ever
earned. Tour t brother-in-law
won't want any waiting on and
he will be satisfied with any
food you put-before him.

I would question the wisdom
of having her live with you as

To 31 Oregon Counties

location of federal funds ever
made to Oregon was distributed
Wednesday by Secretary of State
Earl T. Newbry to 31 of Oregon's
36 counties.
The money represents 25 per
cent of the receipts from timber
sales and rentals on federal for
est lands for the year ending
last June and totals $4,292,056.
It is paid to the counties in lieu
of taxes. . .
Seventy-five per cent of the
money goes into county road
funds, and the rest into school
funds.
Amounts received by counties
included: Jackson, $126,765.63.
Josephine, $99,643.50.

exceptional conditions certain
respiratory infections may be
airborne in the sense that the
germ or virus floats about or
is carried by the air from the
first person who develops the
disease to other persons in the
neighborhood or community
or even to persons miles away.
But at the same time it is notable
that nearly all the classical ex
amples of such air-borne infec
tion arevhistorical, legendary or
hypothetical Yellow fever was
in that ' category prior to the
discovery that the infection is
conveyed only through the bite
of the breed of mosquito known
as Aedes aegypti or Stegomyia
fascial a. The ordinary everyday
mode or way of respiratory in
fection is droplet or spray in
fection. The germ or virus of the
disease is carried from nose or
throat in the droplets of mois
ture or secretions given off in
the spray that shoots forth from
nose andor mouth when one
coughs, sneezes, sings, shouts,
talks or laughs.
Some of the droplets are vis
ible, but most of them are too
small to be visible to the naked
eye, although not too small to
contain virus or germs. Some
of the droplets are palpable, un
pleasantly so if you have ever
been caught m the spray, but
most of them are impalpably
fine, though still moist enough
to keep virus or germ alive until
it lands on fertile ground and
