Notice Is hereby given, that on Fri
day the 19th day of May. 1930, at the
Primary Election held on that day,
in the Sams Valley and Mound Pre
cincts In Jackson County, Oregon,
the Measure to determine whether
or not a livestock district should be
created, to be known and designated
as Sams Valley and Beagle Herd Dis
trict, for the purpose of prohibiting
livestock from running at large in
that portion of the Sams Valley and
Mound Precincts, described as fol
lows :
Beginning at the Northwest corner
of Section U. Township 35 South,
Range 2 West of the Willamette
Meridian In Jackson County. Ore
gon, and running thence East on
the North line of Sections 14 and
13 of said Township and Range,
thence continuing East on the North
line of Sections 18 and 17 In Town
ship 33 South Range 1 West of the
Willamette Meridian to the inter
section of said North line with the
Easterly line of the County Road
that runs on the Westerly side of
Rogue River from Dodge Bridge to
Shadv Cove. Oregon; thence South
erly along the Easterly line of said
Road to its intersection with the
Northerly line of the County Road
crossing Dodge Bridge and running
to Sams Valley; thence Easterly
along the Northerly line of said
County Road from Dodge Bridge to
Sams Valley to its intersection with
the Westerly bank of the Rogue
River; thence in a Southwesterly
direction down the Rogue River,
following the Westerly bank there
of, to a point where the said West
erly bank intersects with an ex
tension East of the South line of
Section 1, Township 36 South,
Range 2 West of the Willamette
Meridian; thence West, from said
Inst mentioned point, along the
South line of Sections 1, 2 and 3
of Township 38 South, Range 2
West of the Willamette Meridian,
to a point on the Westerly line of
the County Road running North
between Upper and Lower Table
Rocks; thence North along the West
line of said County Road which runs
along the entire West side of Sec
tion 3, Township 36 South, Range 2
West of the Willamette Meridian,
to a point where the West line of
said road intersects with the South
line of the road which runs along
the South side of Sections 33. 32
and 31, Township 35 South, Range
2 West of the Willamette Meridian;
thence West along the said South
line of said road along the South
side of said Sections 33. 32 and 31.
to a point where the South line of
said road intersects with the West
line of the County Road which runs
from Gold Hill to Sams Valley,
and which road intersects at the
Southwest corner of Section 31.

section is at or near the Northwest
corner of said Section 22; thence
bast along tne Norm line oi the
County Road, which runs along the
north side of said section 22. said
Township and Range to a point
where said North line intersects
with the East line of the County
Road running from Dodge Bridge
to Shady Cove on Ihe Westerly
side of Rogue River; thence North
along the West line of the said
County Road running through about
the center of Section 15. Township
33 South. Range 2 West of the
Willamette Meridian to a point
where said West line Intersects with
the North line of the road which
runs along the North side or said
Section 15; thence East along the
North line of the said Road to the
point of beginning,
was voted upon. A majority vote was
cast for the formation of the live
stock district, and all persons are
hereby notified that It shall he un
lawful for stock to run at large in
that portion of the Sams Valley and
Mound Precincts descrlhed above,
after the sixtieth day from the date
of the first publication of this notice.
