Atomic scientists speculated to
day that Russia may have erred
In its dealings with Dr. Klaus
Fuchs, revealing to the west its
knowledge of atomic energy.
The scientists, who have been
studying the case of the convict
ed Russian espionage agent, said
the Russian error was in asking
Fuchs questions.
They pointed out that the en
tire subject of atomic physics is
so technical that a single ques
tion to a man of Fuchs' knowl
edg would be almost a complete
confession of the questioners'
understanding of the atomic
field.
