Jean Hart's
Diary
April 23
Have you seen the beautiful
new dresses the fruit trees of
the valley are wearing? Neat
crisp cottons if I ever saw
one. I'll admit the cherry
trees might be wearing or
gandy ... or perhaps that
new nylon that is as fresh as
a spring salad.
Our cottons are just as re
freshing and delightful. It
makes you feel gay just to
look at them. A watermelon
nylon with contrasting
touches of soft grey. Starchy
voiles with a permanent fin
ish so that they stay perky
no matter what the humid
ity. Linen suits for summer
traveling and straight easy
to iron dresses of linen and
pongee. Sun dresses with
jackets to completely dis
guise their double purpose.
And speaking of doubling
shortie coats are wonderful
to wear with cottons for the
cooler evenings all summer
. . . and (deal as a party coat
all year . . . especially if
you choose a soft pastel
color.
Yes ... in a Jean Hart cot
ton . . . you'll blossom out
yourself.

Dear Mrs. Medford:
A poet once said that "copper was brass with its
heart showing . . ." for it has a depth of beauty and
warmth that cannot help but add happiness to a home.
We have copper fashioned into tea pots that would
be at home on a fireplace crane . . . and copper
chests to hide your lewels or love letters. We have
copper planter plates to hang either as flower or plate
arrangements. We have copper and brass combined
for double charm . . . and we have COPPER MUGS.
Heavy gleaming mugs for planting or drinking , , ,
For decorating or patio parties . . . whatever . . . one
thing we know the more you have the more you
will want.
