prominent Litchfield business
man who worked his way up
from bell boy to hotel operator
has cast aside worldly affairs to
become a minister in the Episco
pal church.
Homer G. Carrier. 42, sold his
business and was assigned by
the Rt. Rev. Stephen E. Kceler,
bishop of Minnesota, to a mis
sion field with headquarters at
Lake Island. Minn.
While serving as lay vicar, he
will take special training and
study under the examining chap
lains of Minnesota. He is being
presented for holy orders by his ,
rector, the Rev. Dallis Harris.

as a navy lieutenant. He won a I
' bachelor's degree from the Unl- i
versity of Kentucky, got a job
as a bell boy at Louisville and
worked his way up to a mana
